"Carving Out
Cancer" at Bear Creek
Tuesday, January 31
Each year over a million people are diagnosed with cancer and about 1,500 people per day die from this horrific
disease. Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the United States.
It’s time for all of us to help. The Flying Dutchmen Ski Club is once again organizing “Carving Out Cancer,” an event
to raise money to help find a cure. A special night of NASTAR racing will be held at Bear Creek with the proceeds
going towards “Carving Out Cancer.”
This event is for all ages of skiers and snowboarders. Compare yourself to your peers, Olympic athletes,
and other skiers and riders from mountains across the country.
Don’t race or ski? To make a donation, please make checks payable to the American Cancer Society, write
“Carving Out Cancer” in the memo area, and mail to: FDSC, Box 14233, Reading, PA 19612-4233.
For more information see Patti Spitler, Social Director.
